About Project
Christmas Ana's Little Star project is also this year at Truhoma 💚
December is supposed to be an extremely beautiful and happy month, but unfortunately for many people in need, it is the most difficult month. For this reason, we strive to ease the hardships of individuals and families as much as possible and preserve their holidays in the best possible memory.
We ask you to donate and help endangered individuals and families of Ana's star to receive a package of food worth 50 EUR. Your donations will be used entirely for the purchase of packages that will be delivered directly to your home. All donations are 100% transparent, and at the same time, you can track them from payment to package delivery via the Donation Tracker. With this tool, Truhoma demonstrates 100% transparency and thus its commitment to honest philanthropy.
Through Truhome and Ana's star, we strive and advocate for helping as many families as possible, so that they get double help.
Many thanks to all the stars for your help! ⭐️
Meet the Families in need
Family of 3 from Trbovlje
"I am a single mother of two sons, aged 7 and 9. My father contributes nothing financially for them. It is difficult to survive in a regular job and the salary is barely enough for the most basic things. We live in a rented house and the housing costs are rising month by month, and now they will be even higher in winter because of the heating. Your help with paying our bills and gift cards for the grocery store would mean a tremendous amount to us."
Family of 5 from Novo Mesto
"We are a family of 5, with children aged 10, 15 and 18. Both my partner and I are unemployed with no property, no savings, no possessions. My partner has been sent to the disability commission for not improving after hernia surgery, and I am on the waiting list for surgery for uterine prolapse. In spite of everything, we have to take care of our school-going children. We live in a non-profit apartment with high monthly costs, so sometimes we do not even have enough for the basic necessities of life, let alone some extra expenses. We need help in the form of gift cards to buy food, cosmetics and cleaning products... Thank you."

"I am a single father of two school-age children, aged 11 and 13. After my divorce, they stayed with me and I have been taking care of them since then. At the time of the divorce, I incurred debts which I successfully paid off in instalments until I contracted a severe form of angina resulting in sepsis in 2022. I was in hospital for eight months, three of which were spent in a coma. I barely survived. While I was hospitalised, my mother looked after my children. As a result of my loss of income, I started to fall behind on my credit instalments and other expenses. The cases have accumulated to the point that, despite all the medical evidence, it is impossible to stop them, let alone pay them. All these charges and foreclosures are such a burden that there are times when I have to "take" from my children to pay back the obligations. I have also been referred to the disability commission for a level 1 disability. The help I would need most would be in the form of paying bills and gift cards for meals. Thank you for listening to my story. Sincerely and kind regards."
Family of 3 from Jesenice
Hello, I am a 35-year-old single mum with two children. We come from Jesenice. The older one is 8 years old and the younger one is 5 years old. The older one is in the second grade of primary school and also attends a music school and plays the accordion. The younger one is still in kindergarten. We live in a rented flat, we moved here six months ago because the landlord threw us out on the street when her daughter moved in from the previous landlord (who had moved into that flat). Although it is difficult to get by from month to month, we currently have all our bills paid. I am worried because the heating will be on over the winter and the bill will be much higher. I am employed, I work in the field and I help elderly people. We know that it is difficult to get through a month on a minimum wage, let alone December and, of course, giving presents to children. I would be very grateful for any donations. It could be in the form of a voucher, it could be to pay off bills. Thank you very much. Kind regards."

"I am a single father of an 11-year-old school-going daughter. I was also unemployed when I got divorced, so it was very difficult to survive. I accumulated debts that I am still struggling with today. I work for 2 hours a day and my income is very low. In order to give my daughter the best possible holiday, I am asking for help to pay the rent. With your help in paying the rent, I would have at least some money left for food and some treats for my daughter. Thank you in advance."
Family of 4 from Jesenice
"We are a family of four with one school-age child. I have been on sick leave since January and my wife is also still on sick leave due to illness and started working part-time, 4 hours a day, in April. The bills have started to pile up and we are afraid that if we do not resolve the situation, enforcement action will follow. We are a working family and it is really difficult for us to ask for help, but this time we have no choice. I would like to ask you to help us by paying our bills. I am very grateful to you all."
Family of 4 from Celje
"We are a family of 4 from Celje. We have two school-age children. My partner works full-time in road maintenance and reconstruction, and we receive a basic-minimum wage. Our son is in the 7th grade and our daughter is in the 4th grade of primary school. We live in a rented apartment. I am unemployed for health reasons. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Systematic treatment followed immediately. I had surgery on my left breast and removal of the axillary lymph node, started chemotherapy in August 2021, followed by breast irradiation. I regularly take Femara tablets. In December 2022 I had surgery (removal of my ovaries and fallopian tubes). I simply do not know when I will be able to get a job, as the treatment has also left me with consequences (pain in my skeleton, my eyesight has deteriorated a lot, all my teeth have been knocked out). I regularly attend medical check-ups at the Oncology Department, with the hope that the disease will not recur. Given that we live in such an expensive world today, we have to think carefully about how we spend every euro, because once we have paid off all our monthly expenses, we simply cannot afford anything. We would need help in the form of gift cards, to buy food, cleaning products and other basic necessities. Thank you."
Family of 4 from Litija
"We are a family of 4 from Lithija. Only the father is employed, I am unemployed, I have sent many job applications, but unfortunately there are no answers. I have epilepsy, which reduces my chances of getting a job. I am registered with the Job Centre, I have been without social assistance for 6 months because we have exceeded the census due to the recourse my partner receives (his salary is 1100€). At the moment I have accepted a job as a cleaner for one hour a day. I receive child benefit of 198€. We have two children, aged 7 and 4, who go to kindergarten and school. We live in a block of flats of 48 square metres. The flat is from my mother, so we don't pay rent, but the costs are very high (€450 per month - electricity, heating and heating, kindergarten, school, children's activities, etc.). We would appreciate your help in any form, but gift cards would be most useful. Kind regards. Thank you."

"I'm 35 years old, a parent of a single-parent family for the past six years. I am a mother to a son who is a child with special needs. Until last year, I had a normal job, but the 10-hour working day and taking care of a child with special needs forced me to leave the labour market. Last year's storm flooded our house, the first time in July, the second time in August. We were left without a fridge, furniture, food, clothes, a bed, firewood... I always say thank God we are alive and well, but it is often very difficult. I need help to pay bills and buy food. Every help brings a ray of hope and for that I thank you in advance."

"Dear Sir or Madam. I am a single mum to an 8-year-old son in Primary 3 class. We have found ourselves in a financial emergency, as we have had some unexpected or unexpected expenses that have put our financial situation in serious jeopardy. I myself have been working in a kindergarten for 15 years and I have never been in such a difficult period. The cost of renting a flat is sky-high and I am afraid of the heating bill. On top of all that, there is December, the month that is supposed to bring a smile to the children's faces. My son is already deprived of a family, and I will do my best to give him the best possible holiday, even though it will be a modest one. After all, it is the time and the moments we spend with those we love most that matter. At the same time, I am appealing to you for help in paying the bills, because this time we will not be able to get through the month without some bills going unpaid. I am worried and afraid that the debt will accumulate and I will not be able to pay it. Thank you for the benefactors who help those who, despite their jobs, are unable to do so and find themselves in financial hardship from which there is often no way out, or which only increases and prolongs. Thank you."
