About Project
Romachild is far and away the most surprising Slovenian music duo of recent years! The power duo consists of two masters of the music scene: drummer and backing vocalist Roman Ratej and multi-instrumentalist/producer and vocalist Martin Štibernik. Together they create a new musical story, full of positive energy, powerful guitar chords and explosive, authentic music that never leaves you indifferent in its colourfulness.
They want to share and spread their passion for music. With the big concert on Wednesday 30 October 2024 at Kino Šiška, a part of each ticket sold will be donated to at least 5 children and young people who are actively involved in music or have a strong desire to be, but financial constraints make it harder for them to afford. The funds raised will be used to rent instruments and other musical equipment and to pay practice fees, helping children and young people to develop their talents and enabling them to develop and express themselves through music and to pursue their musical dreams.
"When we founded Romachild, we decided to give part of the income to young, up-and-coming artists who need funding to develop their talents. Maybe one day one of these children will play on the big stage and live their dreams like we do," say Roman Ratej and Martin Štibernik.
All fans, supporters and all those who want to help - you are invited to a concert where you will not only enjoy a unique evening of music, but also help children and young people on their musical journey. Tickets for the concert are already on sale on the EVENTIM SI website, at all their outlets and at Kino Šiška.
The funds raised from the tickets sold for the concert will be shown on the project, and with a few clicks you can also donate to the project for all those who will not be attending the concert, but want to be part of this wonderful charity story and help these young children. We will publish their stories shortly, so you can get to know the children, their family situation and their dreams. All donations are 100% transparent, traceable and effective, and are used in full to purchase aid. You can follow them on the Project Donation Tracker.
"I am extremely happy that Romachild and Truhoma / Ana's Little Star will join forces and collaborate in such a beautiful music and charity story. Truhoma / Ana's Little Star are two organisations that have been committed to fostering a philanthropic environment from the very beginning, implementing 100% transparency, maximising the impact of giving and promoting lasting positive change. Truhoma will offer donation tracking technology in the campaign to ensure that all donations made to the project are 100% transparent, traceable and fully spent, while Ana's Little Star will find young people who are eligible for help. I am proud of this collaboration, which is more than just help - it is encouragement and support for all young people who want to pursue their goals and dreams through art,"says Ana Lukner Roljić, founder of Truhoma and Ana's Little Star.
Romachild would like to thank the companies and media that are already supporting the event: Europlakat, Eventim and RTV VAL 202.
Get ready for the ultimate revelation: a new wave with energy and passion, inspired by the greats, full of playfulness, cheerfulness and positive energy. Expect the unexpected. Let's support children on their musical journey together! See you at the concert.
*** The story of a family of 3 from Ljubljana "I am single with two children, employed. My elder son is in his 3rd year of secondary school and my daughter is in her 1st year. I am paying a home loan because I had to pay off my ex-husband after he moved out. As I have multiple sclerosis, my future is also a bit cloudy. My daughter goes to music school and plays the saxophone. She plays in the school orchestra and saxophone sextet. The saxophone is on loan from the school for all her years of schooling, and of course the tuition is paid for as well. So far the cost has been approximately 55€ per month, last year we had 6 months subsidised loan of the instrument. Any help would be appreciated."
